I just ordered a few pots off Amazon for the lemons and peppers (and hopefully cherries!) when the time comes to transplant each to their own pots.

They are not very big (a little over 6 inches tall) but I think they’ll be okay for a few weeks/months once the seedlings get bigger.

I planted some strawberries the other day as well.
I took a thin slice from a couple strawberries and planted the slice in the pot. Plastic wrap on top for humidity, keeping it well watered. :fl

Did anyone ever use this method?
It’s been almost exactly one month.
I woke up to a strawberry sprout! :wee

They have been covered with plastic wrap this entire time and sprayed with water once daily. In case anyone was wondering.

I’m so excited!! I wasn’t expecting them to sprout!

The squirrels here will eat the berries green. I have to cover ours with netting before they form fruit.
This year our grapes were popular among the wild animals. Squirrels and birds and everything else…

First year that we had to cover the grapes. Harvested our first batch today.

The birds like our raspberries too but they leave enough for us. Lol.
Would be too much work to cover those too.

Lovely grapes. Do you do jam? We have scuppernong vines. They are just getting ready. The birds and squirrels love them too. I need to try to pick some more this week before they get them all!
