- CHECK THE RAFTERS!
My chicks when up into the house part of the coop. I closed the door so if an animal got it at night they would be safe. When I lock them up and take a head count. I counted 3 not 4. I checked the whole coop for the other bird, couldn’t find her. I got a flashlight and checked again, 3. I called my parents out and they were searching the yard. While they did that I was walking around shaking their treats. No bird, I walked the same loop of houses, no bird. There were a few people who asked me if they wanted their help. I gave the excuse that my baby Chihuahua keeps getting out of the house. Then I herd my mom yelling for me, I ran over hoping that they found her. She told me that she was hiding in the rafters. All I could think was “when did she become such a lace (brat).” Turns our everyone was safe and happy.
