Their parents each have one copy of the gene for mottling. Mom is half Aloha and half Golden Spangled Hamburg and Dad is a Hmong rooster whose parents were a mottled hen and a golden duckwing rooster. Only the 3 chicks from this hen have white tips on the feathers like this. The rest from other pairings are all solid. Does this look like mottling to you guys?
