it is to catch them at the leg/ankle. I have not used one yet, but have heard good things. Not sure how easy to use in a large run, but I do know that it’s not too hard to get them cornered so, a 4’ hook would be useful in that scenario.

Baby pool! I actually bought one at Goodwill though. I got it originally for my ducks, but when I sold them I kept it for my chickens. I put compost in it. My chickens love to dig around in it and even take baths in there. I have a compost pile as well but I really like having this for when the compost is almost ready to use. The chickens LOVE it. If I ever get around to having a big run for them (instead of them running free all over) I would definitely have one of these in there.
