And guess what my son got me for Christmas?

If you don't have an immersion blender, they're absolutely wonderful for beating eggs smoothly for custards or other dishes where you want the whites and yolks thoroughly mixed.

Hey I use mine for my eggnog! It's so true great for custards. They're also awesome for soups I would put in the normal blender in batches. I have a cheapo my hubby just grabbed me and it works. This is way safer for blending hot fluids and not getting burnt.
