3 week old Speckled Sussex gender? UPDATE: 7 week old pics!

The chick is question is now over two years old and the OP hasn't posted since Oct '09 so we may never see the final result of this one. Again, we usually leave educational threads up now, even if they are sitting in rocking chairs with shawls.

It is helpful thread. We are going through the same questioning now and feel like could have written the OP. The posts about the tail feathers taking longer makes me think I have a roo.
 
This is indeed a helpful thread! I've got a nearly 4 week old SS and I'm worried that I might have a boy named Sue (actually, Susie!) No tail, larger comb. Granted, I've got a mix of chickens and my Dominique's comb is already starting to get red (PLEASE PLEASE don't be a boy! My Dom is my favorite!), so I do hold out some hope that she will remain a she!
