Hi friends! I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted but in honor of me being a member here for 3 years I wanted to post my update on my chickens! I wanted to show off my rare beautiful roosters. These are rare Hmong chickens also called Qaib hmong in our native language. These are blue skinned chickens like silkies and dark meat like the Ayam cemani varieties. These are super rare as these are only imported from Asia and scarce numbers exist as the few that are in the US are from Asian American immigrants that brought them over when they immigrated here. These were given to me as a gift from my aunt and I happened to end up with 2 beautiful rooster brothers and one hen but these are large guys lol! They’re about 8-10 pounds and maybe up to a foot (I’m not entirely sure how big because they like to run alot!) but these guys are really gentle giants they can be very temperamental but they’re otherwise very gentle and very protective of my flock.
