3 yr old hen laid rubber blobs (pic)..what are they?

Found these things this morning. The rubber blobs have been seen before, but am curious what the heck they are! Saffron, BO, 3.2 years old, stopped laying 10 months ago. Eating, drinking normally - still alpha hen. Did look "tired" in the eyes late yesterday afternoon. No signs of illness.


Your thoughts? What can cause this, is there a remedy?

I'm afraid she is going to turn out to be an internal layer, or have ovarian cancer.
