Hello everyone! I have a turkey who was supposed to be a meat turkey, she's rescued. She had pretty bad bumbled foot and some other stuff going on and I was going to give her a shot of Tylan 200, she's 30 pounds. Any ideas on the requirement of dosage?

Thank you very much in advance! Have a blessed day! <3

Are you addressing the bumblefoot with soaking, surgery, or trying to get the pus plug out? Amoxicillin might be a good alternative drug.

Tylan 200 dosage which most give to turkeys and chickens instead of a shot, is 0.05 ml per pound (or 0.1 ml per every 2 pounds) of weight every 8 hours. That equals to 1.5 ml given orally. I would use a 3 ml syringe, and give a third of it at a time, letting her swallow. Give it 3 times a day.
Here is a link in post 2 with that dosage:

Addressing the bumblefoot by getting the pus plug out, yes. Thank you very much!
