40 weeks and No eggs from one hen.

i got these as day olds on the 2nd week in march

We had one that was 46 weeks when she started to lay. She now is my best layer with at least one egg every day. I think she is trying to play catch up.

I had one who just started at 42 weeks 5 days.

I had one hatched late April. She was a slow to mature breed. She did not mature before autumn set in and then just waited until spring to start.

If I was a production person she would have been gone, but wanted to give her the chance. I would hope she would come thru for you soon as the days are getting longer finally

Your not going to believe this but SHE LAID AN EGG!!!!

I can't believe it. Montana-Hens, tomorrow she will be 42 weeks and 5 days! How funny! Maybe she heard us all talking and figured it was time!

It is an army green color, very pretty!
