5 week old ducks!

My ducks are 5weeks old and as of right now they are out in their pen for the day time and I put them in the tank at night with their heat light. I was just wondering if it was okay for them to just stay in their pen from,now on and not come in at night.

It really depends on the temperature. They still are not fully feathered, so I would say that if it's below 60 degrees at night, thay at least need a heat lamp out in their pen.

The 90 minus 5 guideline would say 90 minus 25 (5 x 5) degrees Fahrenheit is 65, so yes, 60F or so is the target low temperature.

Many use heat lamps, and sometimes they cause fires, so use caution and avoid tragedy.
