Hi everyone,
I have a 7.5 month old blue marans roo. He has not crowed yet (not that I'm complaining since he was an "accident") and I don't even see him trying to crow. I also haven't seen him trying to mate with any of our 3 girls. He is about 2 months younger than the girls and they do boss him around some. We were really hoping to hatch some chicks in the spring time and I am starting to get concerned that this may not happen. This is our first rooster and so I'm not sure if this behavior is normal and if it has something to do with the unusually cold/snowy winter we are having in New England. Is this something to be concerned about or should I just give it some more time and see what happens. In all other respects he seems healthy and doing fine.
Thanks for your insights.
