7 Rooter and 4 hens - need advice on how to handle this

Unless you're ready for all the cockerels the hens will hatch I wouldn't keep a rooster in my flock period. You can always buy sexed chicks .

If you'll stick to autosexing breeds and sex links you can identify the cockerels earlier which will give you more time to find them homes. Most people are forced to process them because they have more cockerels than they know what to do with.

The cockerels need to be separated until the pullets start to lay which will take them at least 2-3 more months.

If you want to keep one male, you would need some more females to spread the love as four are not enough for a young hormonal cockerel.
And find new homes for the others.
