I have 6 Easter Eggers that are 8 weeks old. I think I have a good idea of their gender s but I want to be sure because next week I’m sending the Roos to their new (loving) homes. :)

Here are my EE babies. Any input would be great because this is the first time raising this breed for our family. :)

Chick #1 (one I’m most confused about)

Yeah our #1 has me confused because the comb isn’t an exact pea shape like our others and it’s a little pinker but compared to the cockerels, the comb is still very small. 🤔
Generally, in pea combed birds, size and colour of the wattles is the best indicator, as far as headgear goes.

Gotcha. Thank you. In chick #5 I can tell he’s most likely a Roo by his attitude toward the other males but he has no wattles that I can see.🤷🏻‍♀️ Sexting chickens is such an art! Lol

He has a straight comb with a beard, which differs in presentation from a pea comb.
