Chirping
This is Teriyaki, my 9 week old copper maran. I'm assuming he's a rooster due to how red his comb is and how more rambunctious he is; but I'd like other opinions on that since the breed has large combs for hens. I don't have any other copper maran for reference; my Orpington hens have massive combs and wattles while my three pullets are tiny comb breeds.
He hatched with a copper spot on his head which I thought was neat. He has no copper anywhere else on his body except for his neck/head and that single feather on his wing, and white tips to his wings. I haven't heard any crowing attempts nor does he chest bump or anything that I've seen, he's a lot more risk-taking and rough than his siblings and that comb developed super fast. I'm still hoping for a hen but he'll be kept either way
