The Barbours have a life time guarentee, and there is a Barbour outlet in Maine where they are MUCH cheaper.

Carhartt is a really good jacket brand, look up "carhartt pvc raincoat." If you haven't already. Carhartt jackets last for years. I bet there rain coats are good. I looked at the price, and they cost around 40 and 50 dollars. You could possibly find a used one on ebay. I don't know what price works for you.
