Please help!
My chicks are one week old today. As I was cleaning their coop indoors I realised that two of my chicks had poop on there bum. I clean the first cheek that had poop around his bottom with warm water and a tissue and it came off easily.
I then picked up my gorgeous little silky and I realise that the poop was further down from his bottom. As I was cleaning it off I thought this is incredibly tough as it would not come off and eventually it came off in a clamp. But then I realised that that may not have been poop but it’s umbilical cord because I realised that there was a little pink area underneath what I thought was the poop. Now I’m so worried and I wonder if I’ve done any damage to the little silky and I really hope it will be alright.
i’m new to hatching chicks as this is my first time and I really don’t know what to do. please can someone give me some advice or reassurance I hope she will be alright?
