Adopt a hen

I am not a big person on quarantine, but this is a case where if you cannot quarantine correctly, I would not take the bird. One does not have any idea what the bird has been exposed to.

If you do take her, a single integration is very tough, and VERY, VERy tough in a small flock. The best thing to do, is to set up a true quarantine and pick a bird that you can risk losing. Put the two of them together. They will fluff up and scuffle, but it will be one on one. If the new bird has been exposed to something, well it should flare up, and you will know not to add them.

However, if they both stay healthy for several weeks, well then you can add the pair back to the flock.
