ALABAMA!!

Hoping for a good Mothers day hatch. So far one pip on my mille fleur leghorns that came from Ca. Almost all of them had completely detached air cells.

Ya'll will be seeing pics if any of these hatch. You can count on it.

Can someone tell me why most all my hatchlings are roosters? Is that normal? For every 10, I get 2 hens.

See, I heard just the opposite. The male chicks can't tolerate higher incubation temps and will quit, leaving you with more females. All I know is that I had a huge temp spike with one of my hatches. Forty full term chicks, dead in the shells, three hatched, all pullets.

Well, if our luck holds out tomorrow dad and I will be making a trip down to Evergreen to meet up with the people from Mobile. My fiance is calling them tomorrow after (or before) my appointment to see if they still want the hens.

Got an incubator for mothers day...this feels dangerous!
Hehe! Me TOO!!!! I got it early though and my chicks hatched this weekend. So it's like a double gift! And it's a gift that keeps on giving! Hubby doesn't realize what he has done!!!!!
