Has anyone ever put earthworms in with week old quail chicks to see what will happen my son did it was hilarious

Earth worms can carry parasites including gape worm. You should try to avoid feeding them to quail.

Ok i found this incubator from 1976 and im gonna try to hatch some quail and pheasants in it its holding the tempature perfect it has a heat thermostat but not a humidity one you have to measure the water its the old school type with the wicks. its also got an egg turner but with a gearbox motor i will post pics its pretty cool.

what about feeding them to chickens? i thought that was a thing most everyone did?

i feed them to my chickens and never had any problems.

don't they also carry blackhead if it's in your area?
Just a risk you take with ranging birds. I don't think many people range quail though?

snails, slugs, beetles, ants, grasshoppers, earthworms, houseflies and others can all transmit worms and/or protozoan infections. Especially if you live anywhere near a chicken or turkey farm that has been infected.
