Ameraucanas?

How common is it for an Ameraucana hen to lay other than a blue looking egg ?

is one type more prone than others to lay or not lay blue?
Splash, blue, lavender, white, black ?

A real Ameraucana should always lay Blue, it's the most critical breed trait.
Some years ago, I hatched some eggs from a breeder, one hen out of the bunch laid a green egg, we rehomed her as an EE / OE even though her appearance was good for an Ameraucana. It's not so much certain colors as it is the breeder - they must always select based on egg color first, and if they get too permissive in their program you end up with incorrect eggs. The breeder in question was also one of the stuffiest I have ever talked to, so it's not always people who talk a big game that can actually deliver.

Sour Roses , thank you so much for putting it so simply for me. Your first line was exactly what I needed to know.
:yesss:
I ordered 5 females chick's from Cackle, blue Eggers.
6 arrived today.

Any updates on egg color? Sometimes my hens will sit on an egg already there and not lay one themselves, I wondered if this happened. Or is she definitely laying tan eggs?
Unfortunately, I basically watched her lay it. She stood up, an egg fell out, and the tan one was wet.
