I agree I have kids I watch too plus mine 5 and 3 and all boy they have become real chicken farmers LOL !!!!! The constant noise level and they are very used too all noise..............they are always being held and led around the house................I have too boys who are like mother hens!!!!!!!!

Don't try chasing them around to catch them. Just put your arm in as far as it will go and don't move it the chicks will come to it and peck. If you have some feed in your hand they will eat it. Have a few days if this they will be more trusting and not as afraid of you. Time and lots of it is what it takes.

Yes, I agree with 4H kids and mom--if you put them down when they start squawking, they learn that all they have to do to be put down is to fuss, and they never learn that being held can be an enjoyable experience.
