In the Brooder
I got this chick on May 17 when it was a day or two old. I knew it was a mixed breed when I got it, but it was supposed to be from either a d'Uccle x Serama pairing, or a d'Uccle x Ameraucana bantam pairing. Clearly, that's not correct. It only has four toes and didn't appear to have a crest, muff, or beard when I got it (although looking at the one pic I could find from the day I got it, it does look like a little crest). I know the person I got it from also breeds Frizzle Cochin bantams & Silkies, maybe there was an egg mix up? Turns out she wasn't a great breeder, so literally anything is possible. Some of the feathers look like silkie feathers, but some don't. I've never had a Frizzle before, and my one Silkie is only about 9 weeks old, so I'm not confident that I know what I'm looking at.
