I got 2 tiny chicks and was told were bantam cochins. They are from my local Atwood feed store from unmarked bins that only said pullets (you know how that goes lol). Now they are 2 weeks old and one of them has crazy flaired out wings and tiny tail feathers. My daughter has been doing research and says it might be frizzled. We are chicken newbies and are learning as we go. Can anyone tell me if it's a frizzled bantam cochin? I'm not too familiar with chicken breeds especially the bantam breeds. I currently own Easter Eggers that seem to be cream legbar crossed or so I've been told due to their cute mohawks. My other bantam cochin barely has wing feathers and no tail feathers. I'm hoping at least one of the two is a female. Please bear with me, I'm learning as I go. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Looks like a frizzled bantam Cochin, yes. I too think he may be a cockerel, but he's a bit young to tell for sure.

The pics are of one of them, I'll include some pics of the other one whose a little smaller.

The smaller one also looks frizzled, though it's kind of hard to tell with that lighting and the smaller feathers.

Yeah, that one is smaller than the other one and being dark it's hard to get good pics. It has tiny little feathers that look like they will flair out too.

Little breeding tip. If u do have a pair of frizzles dont breed them together. Double gened frizzles will die in the egg, died as a young chick or be an unhealthy bird. Always breed frizzle to a non frizzle

Thank you so much for that tip because it did cross my mind to breed them if they turn out to be a male and female and they are both frizzles. I would have never known not too, so I really appreciate you for informing me!
