I'm new to raising chickens. Just started in March 2010.
We're in Vero Beach, FL. We have six chickens at the moment. 5 girls, 1 boy. Hope to find another home for the male and 1 female.
Our youngest daughter last spring asked her dad if she could raise chickens. He said yes and bougth her four thinking we'd loose a couple. Well, they are all doing great and laying. In May, her class hatched some eggs. We wound up with two more.
Don't know anyone in town with chickens. Would like to chat with others in our area. Lots of chicks were sold at the local feed store.
