I have FIVE broodies, so you'd THINK they could keep four eggs warm. A few times I have checked on them and they are not sitting on an egg and it is cold.

I put the eggs back under them but I'm wondering if it is even possible for them to hatch now.

On two separate occasions we had turkey hens sitting, right next to our house. You would hope they would be safe, but they weren't. They both got killed and hauled off by something, leaving the nest full of eggs. On both occasions we found the eggs in the morning cold. Once they went under a broody hen, once we threw them into a cold incubator. Both times we got great hatches. Good luck.
