We are Shropshire too and also hatching some araucanas!!

Awesome! Great minds eh? What sort are you hatching? I've just put in some Black and Lavender eggs so fingers crossed.

Have a mix of black and cuckoo, lavender next on list as we lost our price winning lavenders to a mink in December along with hen and youngsters and lovely orpington cockerel. Ours due to hatch for easter.

Sorry to hear that; I had a similar thing happen the winter before; just got my cockerel left of my araucanas. Good luck on the hatch!
