Anyone in Ireland?

Thanks for the info @ChickenGrass ! I went to an agricultural show in Monaghan last summer & I noticed that the silkies over there seem to be less fluffy than the ones in the U.S. I had a couple of silkies a few years ago & mine were so fluffy you couldn't see their eyes. It caused mine a lot of problems as far as getting along with other breeds, so it seems like the Irish type would be much better off.

I am planning on breeding Orpingtons because they are dual purpose & have a nice temperament, and also they go broody. I have bantam Orpingtons right now & I like them a lot. My husband likes Wyandottes so we might get some of those too.

That's a crazy price for that book; I wonder if it might be possible to find a used copy somewhere...I will have to see what I can find.

Is anyone going to the
ISPF young bird show.
It is usually a great show with a out 500 birds.
Entries are now closed tough
I am taking 7 birds
