Anyone sell duck eggs? How much is too much?

Yep. If they sell, the price is right. Tell her that she can buy them from you at $5 for 6 and sell them for whatever she considers to be a fair price.

I have 115 Muscovies and 300 Hybrid 300's.At the farmer's market in San Diego I get $12/doz for the Muscovies, $8.00/doz for the 300's.I also now have a commercial supply deal on the 300's at $.60 an egg.for 400 eggs a week.

I sell chicken eggs for $5.00 a dozen.. duck eggs for $1.50 per egg or $18.00 a dozen and goose eggs for $3.00 per egg.. with no problem..

Yup!
If you’re selling out, then people are willing to pay the price. It’s only when you can’t sell that you drop a little. Fluctuation happens month by month.
I have so many chicken eggs that I usually sell for $0.2355 an egg, round off to $3.00 for a dozen. Duck eggs $0.3355 per egg, so basically $4 for dozen and that’s EXTREMELY CHEAP. But thats usually for loyal people who buy regularly. Other get charged a doll er extra.
Not fair? My world! My decisions! My choices! And if they sell, they sell.

I sell chicken and duck eggs at our local Farmers Market. Our chicken eggs (two of us vendors sell chicken eggs) sell out at $4.00 per dozen. Of course ducks don't lay like chickens do. And, you can't just buy duck eggs at Vons.

I was selling the duck eggs for $5.00 for six eggs. Another vendor (the one who sells chicken eggs too) told me that is too much. So, I dropped the price to $4.00 for six eggs. She is still telling me that is still too much. I almost always sell out because I only have 2 or 3 to sell. I think she is just upset that I have something different than she does.

Anyone else sell duck eggs and at what price? How much are the chicken eggs in your area compared to duck eggs? Am I asking too much?

I have no problem selling duck eggs for $6. per 1/2 dozen. Ducks eat more than chickens and are harder to keep (messier) but most of all their eggs are exceptional-and not as easy to find, and are simply elegant cuisine!

OMG! If you can get $10 each for them, and they sell, then that is what they are worth. I think it is insane than someone would tell you how to price your eggs. Tell them to mind their own business - literally!
