If you want SOP and quality Ameraucanas, there are two purebred Ameraucana clubs: the Ameraucana Alliance and Ameraucana Breeders Club, whose breeder members usually sell chicks for about half the hatchery price (you'll know what you're getting, and they'll be the real thing in the correct colors. I believe Cackle did acquire some good "real" Ameraucanas from a known breeders years back, but has not bred and carefully selected since then so quality has deteriorated and they're overpriced.
