Are EEs prone to certain ailments?

Maybe it's just me, but it seem that whenever there's a post about a crossbeak bird, you can almost lay money down thats it's going to be a Ameracauna based EE. I know it's not but I feel like EEs make up a significant amount of the crossbeak cases we see.
Does the beard/muff genes contribute to this somehow?
Just curious.

They're definitely more prone to crossbeak (Silkies are the other one I see mentioned, which might be due to their skulls) but I don't know why EEs in particular have the issue when other muffed/bearded birds don't.
