I like drying many plants for the chickens to eat during the winter months. I started growing flax seed a few years ago and was curious if anyone knows if the flowers are safe and/or has good nutritional value for the chickens? I can't seam to find anything about the flax plant itself.
I like collecting dandelion, chicory, plantain, chickweed, and a bunch of other good greens to store for them to have during the winter months. The other day I seen all the flax petals dropping and was curious if I could add these to the collection too!
*I don't know why I'm required to attach a photo but the other day I seen my girls hiding from the sun with their little butts sticking out of the bush so I thought I'd share their cuteness lol
