Are these vegetables ready to be picked?

I have carrots and banana peppers that I’m not sure if I should pick yet.

I planted them a couple months ago not sure the exact date.

They are the ones that look the widest at the top, but Theorrin is right that as long as they are a good enough size for you, the other ones can continue to grow bigger.
Alright I picked the three that were very close together and hoenstly I thought they grew into one another. I’ll let them sit for a little while longer. I bought these as pre planted so separating them was difficult. I know they can still grow in winter so maybe I’ll plant some seeds in rows and see what happens.

I'm pretty sure planting a new row right now should work fine for you. You want to keep the seeds constantly wet, even if it means watering a couple times a day.

They will do that sometimes. I believe certain varieties will do that less, but it also depends on soil and how deep they can go without resistance.
