I'm excited to have whole family over for Christmas dinner. food is great,,, but mostly the friendship and fellowship we share.

This is probably my least favorite holiday, tbh.

I love the season but have learned to not expect much when it comes to good presents.
But the lights and the music and the cold!!! I love it!

I do a lot of work for, like, 1 day of celebration. I try to look at it as my opportunity to do a lot for others without reciprocation - you know, show them I love them and appreciate them - but I realize that I do a lot for others without reciprocation *everyday.* So it's just a regular day, really.

Except it's expensive.

I usually walk away from it saying I'll never do Christmas again. But DH likes Christmas, so here I am once again (I imagine it's easy to like Christmas when you don't have to do much of the work).

And I'll add that I'll probably love it if/when I ever have grandkids.
