Hi everyone - we did our first assisted hatch last night as a last ditch effort before the chick died. This morning, to my surprise the baby seems to be doing well! My concern is how much shell is still stuck, specifically to one of its wings. Do I just leave it alone? Will it eventually come off or does it need help? Thanks in advance!

You are going to have to take the shell off.

You need to look at it closely to make sure it's not wrapped around a leg or anything.
MAKE SURE you don't pull on anything that could be attached to its butt area.

Go get a close look at it real quick.

I got it off its wing and back and it is doing much better. It does have some gunk that looks green on its butt that I left. It is on its own in the incubator and seems to be doing good
