Off topic of chicks here but what are those things called which you've attached to the water bottle?
I've been thinking of getting some but have only seen them on pvc pipes and didn't want to use that because I wouldn't be able to see the water level without physically checking but I'm loving the bottle idea you've got them on.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard marans are sex linked (light are hens, dark are roos) either way all chicks are beautiful.

Yeah but Tis the first wing feathers that you use to determine.

I hope your right though Satay has a good history of hatching Roos more than pullets ! My last hatch had 2 boys and one girl Lol
