Cute! I was just wondering as we got a splash baby the other week, but I wasn't entirely sure as to what it will grow up to look like!!
I don't know how the splash thing works... lol

When you breed blue / blue you will get 50% blue , 25% splash and 25% black.

When I had my chooks before the floods in 2013 my hen with chicks did the same thing to Black Catty. He barely even looks at the chooks now. It was hilarious.

Are you noticing any spillage with those? I was going to make that kind of feeders, but went with the bucket model in the end since it was a lot cheaper, and seemed like an easier installation.

Only made them today, the only spillage so far is from chickens throwing out feed they do not want, But so far the others are picking that up OK. It will be interesting to C how they go but they are meant to cut down on wastage. I look forward to C how it goes with chicken start as I find this is when a lot of feed is wasted. ( I wish I could type and spell at the same time).
