Here's my Rosemond "Rosie" She will be 19 weeks & I'm expectantly waiting for her first egg. She is sweet, but has started pecking my knee until she gets her treats or I pick her up for a cuddle. I'm glad I got an Australorp

She'll be laying those eggs for you soon enough. Yes, they really do like the attention, and especially those treats!

Hi everyone! I am just starting what I believe will be a long love affair with BBS Australorps. I have 6 lovely black pullets from Frank Castelvecchi and this gorgeous splash cock from Kurt Camm of RattlesnakeRidge . Come spring I hope to be posting lots of pictures.

With the splash rooster and the black hens, any of your future hatchlings from that will be the Blue Babies. My rooster and a couple of my hens are from Kurt. One of those hens is a Splash, and the other one is a Blue. I also have 3 more POL pullets (2 Blues, and 1 Black) that came from Chase who got them from the Hupp Farm Line.

Nice looking Australorps there. By older black Australorp hens are molting right now. I will have to take some current pictures of my 3 younger ones to post. They will be 4 months old later on this month. Of those, I have a splash cockerel, a splash pullet, and a blue pullet.

I bought my older two black Australorp when they were POL and i got my 11 week olds three weeks ago. Hoping my blue boy will be a nice one... and hoping he will darken out on top too! I have got an incubator just havent had any eggs to put in it? What age did your cockerel mature or has he matured yet?

His comb is starting to turn a bit red but he hasn't started to crow yet. I also haven't seen him trying to breed the girls yet. Maybe soon though, because he will be 4 months old on the 22nd of this month.

My cockerels comb and wattles have been pretty red for a week bow and he is only 11 weeks... i cant wait to incubate some ehhs when he is older.... my two blues are called Blue Steel. Blue - girl & steel - boy
