I have a cockerel that is good in every respect but one, slight small feathering on the leg, none on the feet. should I use him or wait until this springs hatch develops to see what I get?

I would wait and see what hatches. Are they his offspring?

Where did you get him?

I agree. Feathers on the leg seems to pop up in other breeds too. It can be bred out so wait to see what hatches. Langshan has feathered feet so that is where it comes from.

My wife and 9 yr old daughter would love to raise this beautiful breed for egg-laying production/home consumption.
We prefer to get hatching eggs or pullets from a reputable breeder versus these commercial hatcheries for certain.

We live in Hawaii and if there's anyone here that can help us we'd greatly appreciate it.

Please send me a PM

Aloha
