Baby chick with possible broken leg? About a week old. I'm not sure what I should do for it.

I’m not sure what happened. She hops on the good leg, holds the bad leg up, and is bracing herself with her wing. The chickens free range with mom during the day. I noticed her leg like this 2 days ago. I've been separating her during the day and putting her back under mom at night. I don't feel any swelling. Both legs feel the same. She uses the bad leg to scratch with. Tried to add link to a video hopefully it works I'm new here...

Possible sprain yes.. Do you have some vet wrap. Keep her quiet a few day a sprain will be self limiting.

She may have a slipped achilles tendon. Sometimes that can be fixed. Link below with instructions on treating that, scroll down to 'fix slipped achilles tendon in hock joint". Also a video showing the tendon popping into and out of place.

Thanks for the link and video. I read through this and tried but not sure what I should be feeling for. The legs feel the same to me. I will try again.

I do have vet wrap. I will try making a cast. Thanks
