Is it possible its just a carrier? (only one mottled parent) My George has gotten darker over the years.

I never thought of that.
It’s possible. I got him from Tractor Supply so who knows lol.
I love him no matter what he looks like!

Wow so yours got darker with age...
Frodo is almost completely black.
He just has a couple of spots of white on his foot feathers and a wing.
Maybe he’s a carrier like you said.

I've got a bantam cochin that I got from a swap meet. The breeder said she was a reject from a project and she was from Oregon. My bird is in my avatar, and she has red ends of her feathers, but underneath it's a lavender color. Anyone know about the breeder? To me, she looks show quality.
