Bought two chicks today that are supposed to be Barnevelders. The larger of the two appears to have ear muffs! I'm not that familiar with barnevelders, and I picked out the two that I have from a large flock of mixed breeds that were running around a very large room. I "think" this is what they're supposed to look like? Well, shoot! I definitely wanted Barnevelders. The young man catching them had no clue what they were, and I was winging it. Could somebody please post a picture of what a barnevelder pullet looks like? I guess I'll have to go back and buy more. Oh darn! What a happy problem.

Thanks, everyone! I'll call ths feed store tomorrow and talk to the owner. Hopefully he will know what they look like. There were probably 100 pullets of multiple breeds running around a room about 12' x 20'. Kinda hard to figure it out.
