Best breed to be in my livingroom

My husband wont let me have any furbabies. We LOVE our birds so much and I love to kiss and cuddle them. I currently have musvoies and boy is that some big poop. I can't bring them into the livingroom for lovins. I am thinking of a miniture of some kind like I saw at the fair. A scotchie maybe? What breed do you think would be friendly, have small poops, and be a good social kind of duck?
