Best way to catch/collect chicken poop??

I am interested in your idea. Is there anyway you can post a picture of your set up. I am trying to build a big enough coop for several layers that i can easily clean and collect eggs in separate steps, without a lot of hassle.

Our coop is mobile as you can see - we've used hardware cloth for flooring .... do we need to put shavings down??

What is the best way to catch the chicken poop that drops down while they are roosting? I've heard about these frames you can build that have screens in them??? Anyone know what I"m talking about. I'd be most grateful for any ideas.

I had my roofer make a galvanized tray that slides under my roost. Just pull it out, empty it and hose it down. It works great. I do keep pine pellet bedding in it so poop is coated and not at all messy. Hope this helps.

Love, love, love my poop hammock. I spend so much less time cleaning the coop these days. Just pull it out, dump it straight into the manure pit and put it back in. Easy to clean as well, just hose it off and let it air dry:
