Big day!
Egg #1 was laid yesterday. Freeloading is hopefully coming to an end!

Any comments on what types of barnyard mix we might have here???

Nice! The chicken closest to camera is a speckled sussex lookin girl. Looks like maybe a couple black australorp or black sex link. The looker with the beard and buff coloring is probably an Easter egger of sorts. And in the back possibly some brown leghorn or welsummer mixes. That's what they look like to me, but i'm no expert. Congrats on the egg!

I just looked back &see I purchased a “rare heritage mix” whatever that means!
