Received 18 chicks from my wife's cousin who hatched them for her elementary school class. I am fairly certain on most of them. 7 White Leghorns, 3 Silver-Laced Wyandottes, 2 Mille Fleur d'uccles, 1 Cuckoo Maran. I am uncertain on the other 5.

I have 3 of these which are Light Sussex??? This one i think is one of 2 hens.

Is this a Production Red, or a Rhode Island, or?

Could this be a Black Copper Maran? I guess I could just wait to see if I get some chocolate eggs, I'm impatient.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The black and white has yellow legs. It's a Delaware. Sussex have white skin.
The red is a Production Red.
The mostly black ones have yellowish legs. They are probably Black Sexlinks. Marans have white skin.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. The Black one is my favorite still, even though I won't be getting chocolate eggs.

my marans have black skin (on its feet) and red on its face, gold neck feathers....black feet with black feathering. That doesn't look like a marans.

May 13. I believe I have two pullets and one cockerel Delaware. The one that I believe is male is noticeably larger, with a curved tail feather and much more pronounced waddle and comb.
