Hey Brian! When you start getting eggs for hatching again please let me know! I have a mixed flock currently but lloking to do ssme hatching!

After two dismal attempts at hatching Marans, I think I found the secret, resulting in 7/10 beautiful babies! They were shipped from CT, to CA. The breeder told me to run my Brinsea at 40%, 100 degrees... she recommended only upping it to 45% at MOST for "lockdown". I was reluctant, but figured I had nothing to lose... Voilá! They hatched beautifully!!! I just wanted to mention this for anyone having trouble with these dark shelled beauties.

As of now I do not. Most of my hens are molting and just about stopped laying.

Are your hens laying now ? , Could you post pics of your hens ? Thanks in advance

Hi there I got eggs from you when I first got into chickens and just wanted to send this pic of one of our hens now at 3.5 years she still lays more eggs than any other hen in the coop and they are a beautiful dark brown. Will be ordering some more hatching eggs soon
