Black Star Butts & Cracked Eggs

I have a black star hen, shes a really big girl. Her butt is so big that she has a white stripe under it from when she poops. also whenever she lays an egg its cracked and smooshed in on one end. So im wondering does she have an abnormaly high vent or does she have an abnormaly big butt? and does this happen with other peoples' stars? it seems like a disadvantage if you want to breed them because most of the eggs would be cracked

Not all hen's are created equal. I've had Black Sex Links and never have seen what you describe. But I've had hens that couldn't successfully lay. If their anatomy somehow prevents proper laying, we cull.

well at least the eggs dont crack so bad that the stuff comes out, just gotta be gentle with them
