I grew up in Bloomfield, just outside the capital of Hartford, and am exploring moving back there, so one of the first things I did was to check the L.O.R.E there. I tried checking the ordinances online, but couldn't use the search feature from my phone at the time. So I just called the Town Clerk's office, who transferred me to the Planning & Zoning Department. I told the voice who answered that I'm thinking of moving there, and "What, if any, ordinances are there regarding keeping chickens?"
Simple answers: any structure they're housed in has to be 100 feet from the house, and you can have up to 20.
