This bonus chick came with my Townline order, and I can't figure out what she is. She was 3 weeks, 1 day in these pics.

My order contained Black Australorps, Olive Eggers, Easter Eggers, and GL Wyandottes.

She looks nothing like the 2 australorps in shape and head patterning. She also does not have a single comb.

I thought perhaps an EE, but her legs are black, and no pea comb. Possibly an OE, but again, no pea comb, no feathers on her legs like the 2 known OEs, and she doesn't share a similar head shape with the OEs.

I considered a Black Wyandotte, even though Townline doesn't list them, because she DOES have a flat comb the same as the 4 GL Wyandottes chicks I have. She has black legs, though, and the photos I can find online of Black Wyandottes all have yellow legs.

My guess would be OE from a Marans/EE cross. To me that looks like a little pea comb, but her comb close up is a bit blurry. The good news is that it's still very yellow!

I’m still very new at this but I think your chick looks more like my jersey giant than my olive eggers. Here is a picture that has my olive eggers and the jersey giant. The 3 front and center are OEs. Behind is my Jersey and GLW.

They look very similar but the jersey has a little longer neck, narrower comb, and black legs. The OEs legs are just a little bit green. Your bird could be an OE but personally I’m leaning more towards JG. 7FEB1976-DEA0-43FD-AB0E-B9B097F384CD.jpeg

Jersey giants should have a straight comb though? 🤔

Yes single comb for giant. The picture or my eyes aren’t clear enough for me to see the comb well enough to positively tell comb type
Yeah, I was going by them saying it was “flat like a wyandotte” to assume it’s not a straight comb…those are usually easily spotted. I didn’t seeeeee anything in the top-down photo, but yeah, the side photo is too blurry to tell for sure. Guess time (or more photos) will tell!

She is still flat combed like the wyandottes, no little pea bumps at all like my other 2 feather-footed OE chicks have. She is 4 weeks today. She is most likely an OE, though, like house 1917 and rhodebar suggested. I'll try to post pics later on when she's grown a bit more.
